What should I do if I haven't received my SMS verification code?

Common reasons for not receiving an SMS verification code include:

  • Poor Cellular Reception: Move to an area with better reception and try requesting the code again.
  • Call-Filtering / Anti-Spam Apps: If you have screening apps installed (e.g., Whoscall), verification messages may be mistakenly blocked. Try temporarily disabling or uninstalling the app, then try again.
  • Airplane Mode or Do Not Disturb Enabled: Ensure that both "Airplane Mode" and "Do Not Disturb" are turned off.
  • Business SMS Blocking Enabled: If your phone number has a "Block Business SMS" feature activated through your telecom carrier, system-generated verification messages will be blocked. Please contact your carrier to verify and disable this service.
  • Insufficient Phone Storage: An exhausted SMS inbox or full device storage may prevent new messages from arriving. Free up storage space and try again.
  • Daily SMS Limit Reached: The platform has a daily limit of 20 SMS messages (including attempts where the message was not received). If you have reached this limit, please try again after 00:00 (midnight) the next day.
  • Carrier Service Issues: Contact your telecom carrier to verify that SMS send/receive services on your plan are functioning normally.

If you have verified the above and still cannot receive the code, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Switch Network Connection: Turn off Wi-Fi and switch to mobile cellular data before trying again.
  • Refresh Network Signal: Turn on "Airplane Mode," wait about 3 minutes, then turn it off to re-establish connection and try again.
  • iPhone Users:
    • Restart iMessage: Go to Settings > APP > Messages, turn off iMessage, and turn it back on.
    • Check Blocked Contacts: Go to Settings > APP > Messages > Blocked Contacts to verify that the sender number has not been blocked.
  • Android Users:
    • Go to Settings > Apps > Messages > Storage, then select Clear Cache and Clear Data before trying again (menu navigation may vary depending on the device brand).

Note: If you frequently experience delayed or missing SMS codes, we recommend switching to Google Authenticator as your two-factor authentication method. For setup instructions, please refer to: How do I enable Google Authenticator (GA) 2FA?
